Affiliate Disclosure

We believe you should know when a link on this site might earn us money — before you click it.

Last reviewed: June 2025

The short version: Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you. Every affiliate link is labeled with an Affiliate Link badge. We never recommend something we wouldn't recommend without the commission.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a link to a product or service that includes a tracking code. If you click the link and make a purchase, the company pays us a small referral commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone to the site directly.

FTC disclosure

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), Retirement Clarity Community discloses that we may receive compensation from affiliate relationships. This compensation may influence which products we link to, though we only link to products we believe are genuinely useful for people navigating retirement.

How we label affiliate links

Every affiliate link on this site is labeled with an Affiliate Link badge before the link, so you know what you're clicking. We will never attempt to hide or obscure an affiliate relationship.

What kinds of products we affiliate with

We are selective about affiliate relationships. We focus on practical, non-financial products that are useful for people in or approaching retirement:

  • Retirement and personal finance books
  • Budget planners and document organizers
  • Fireproof safes and important document storage
  • Password managers and identity theft protection
  • Tax software (TurboTax, H&R Block, etc.)
  • Medical alert systems and home safety products
  • Legal document platforms for wills and powers of attorney
  • Funeral planning resources

We do not and will not participate in affiliate programs for financial products like annuities, life insurance policies, or investment accounts. Those compensation structures create conflicts of interest we're not willing to have.

Affiliate links are not endorsements of everything a company does

An affiliate link means we think the specific product or service is useful — it doesn't mean we endorse everything the company does or sells. Do your own research before purchasing anything, and if the purchase is significant, consult a qualified professional.

When affiliate links will appear on this site

As of the current date, this site does not yet have active affiliate links. We plan to add affiliate links starting approximately 90 days after launch, after the educational content is established. This page will be updated when affiliate links are active.
